Designer's Profile:
Toshimitsu Sasaki was born in Oita, Japan in 1949.

In 1973 Sasaki graduated from the University of Shibaura Technology and Electricity, with an Engineering Communication major.

This outstanding Japanese designer was awarded numerous prestigious awards including the Mainiti Industrial Design Competition,
6th Arango International Design Competition, International Design Year Book, Tokyo International Furniture Trade Fair, and the Small Business Administration chief prize.

In 2003, his S-Line was awarded the Grand Prix by the Shanghai International Furniture Show work design exhibition in China.

In 2004, Sasaki Design International, Inc. was founded and started as a selling agency.

In 2005 this unique Japanese designer passed away suddenly at the age of 56 years old.

His designs will never be forgotten and the New Bambini will live forever in Japan's culture and around the world.
