Zojirushi Rizo Rice Cooker

TECHNO - Zojirushi Rizo Rice Cooker
Rizo stainless
Detailed Description:

The Rizo was just released in 2007 in Japan, the US, Europe, Taiwan, Korea and Southeast Asia. Zojirushi developed the Rizo rice cooker to take advantage of worldwide Japanese food boom. The Rizo is a unique house warming gift, perfect for a wedding registry. And, if you are into healthy eating then the Rizo is perfect for your kitchen.

The Rizo can quick-cook, risotto, and steam food. The Rizo enhances the flavor of food due to greater heat efficiency as compared to conventional products.

The rice cooker features risotto and sushi cooking modes for European and US customers and steam cook mode for Asian customers. Instead of these modes, the products have no timer functionality, which is indispensable for rice cookers on the Japanese market. Rice cooked in sushi mode is harder than other modes. It is perfect for genmai. Genmai, or brown rice, is unpolished whole grain rice that is produced by removing only the husk and leaving the embryo and bran. This is one of the healthiest types of rice you can eat and enjoy thanks to the Rizo.

"These are our first products developed with our priority given to overseas markets," said a Zojirushi spokesperson.

The Rizo fuses with smooth curve without damaging its functionality.
It is the very essence of form and function.

The Rizo's design is by Japan's Toshiyuki Kita, who is known to have designed Sharp Corp.'s LCD TV and other products.

Japanese and rice have a long inseparable relationship. Japanese began to cultivate rice over 2000 years ago, and now, rice is still popular and a very important food in Japan. Many Shinto ceremonies and Japanese festivals involve rice growing and rice products. Kome (raw rice), sake (rice wine) and mochi (rice cakes) are typical offerings in shrines. Since rice has been regarded as an important food, at the end of a meal, Japanese believe every grain of rice served in a bowl or a dish should be eaten. That's easy when you cook rice with the Zojirushi rice cooker because every grain of rice is so delicious, you'll never want to leave any rice in your bowl!
