1. Types of Information xPlanet Collects About You and How We Use It. We list the type of information we gather about you and the manner in which we use it:

• Information You Give Us. We may store any information you enter on the xPlanet site or give us in any other way. You provide the vast majority of this information when you establish a Customer Account or communicate with customer service to buy products. This information generally includes your login, password, name, mailing address, e-mail address, phone number, billing address and credit card information. We use this information for purposes such as responding to your requests, customizing future shopping for you, and generally improving xPlanet. We will only send you e-mails not directly related to your orders if you request us to do so. If you do not want to receive non-order related e-mails from us at any time, simply indicate so on your Customer Account.
• Information We Obtain Automatically. We may seek and store some information about you whenever you interact with our business. For example, we use "cookies". Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that we would transfer to your computer's hard drive through your Web browser to enable our systems to recognize your browser and to provide features such as expedited purchasing, personalized greetings, and storage of items in your Shopping Cart between visits. 2. How We Secure Your Information. The customer information you provide to order from xPlanet, including your credit-card number, is protected by Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software encryption (a Netscape browser standard, adopted by Microsoft for their Internet Explorer and by some other browsers), so it cannot be read as it is transmitted. Look for one or more of these "secure connection" indicators on your browser (i, a security alert window tells you that you are about to use a secure connection. ii, an SSL icon shows when you're in a secure connection (A symbol of an open padlock changes to a closed padlock when you're in a secure connection, a symbol of a "broken key" icon is replaced by an unbroken key or a blue line runs across the top of the content window, or iii the web site's address changes to one that begins with "https" (check for the "s")). The encrypted data go to a secure site, where your information is stored on a private computer that is not directly accessible via the Internet. At the secure site, your credit-card number is validated and your membership information is kept in restricted-access files. We reveal to you only the last five digits of your credit card numbers when confirming an order. Of course, we transmit the entire credit card information to the credit card validation company during order processing.

3. xPlanet Shares Your Information Only for xPlanet Business Purposes. We share customer information only when necessary to our business and only in the cases described below. They may use the customer information needed to perform their functions, but they may not use it for other purposes. We do not sell customer information to others.

• Affiliated and Assisting Businesses. We may transfer your information to affiliated businesses that offer products to you via xPlanet or with which we may provide sell product lines jointly or which perform functions on our behalf. We transfer information related only to those transactions with those business. 4. Your Customer Information is Accessible to You xPlanet gives you direct access to view, revise and delete a broad range of your Customer Information via your Customer Account [link]. Examples of information you can access easily at xPlanet include information regarding recent orders, personal identifiable information (including name, e-mail, password, communications preferences, and address book), payment settings (including credit card information) and e-mail notification settings. xPlanet may also upon your request provide you with a complete report of your Customer Information stored by xPlanet. We reserve the right to impose reasonable fees and terms but we will accommodate any such requests you send to us via e-mail. When you update information, we usually keep a copy of the prior version for our records.

5. Miscellaneous Terms

Safe Harbor. xPlanet will apply to be participant in the Safe Harbor program developed by the U.S. and the European Union to protect customer information privacy. We wish to certify that we adhere to the "Safe Harbor Privacy Principles". Terms if Use. This Privacy Policy as with all legal matters between you and xPlanet are subject to our Terms of Use, including limitations on damages, and application of the law, and any conflict in meaning should be resolved in favor of the Terms of Use.
